Celebrating Isabel Bugden Day

Recently we took some time out to remember our founding teacher Isabel Bugden.

The girls dressed in green and we raised $300 for Lymphoma Australia in her honour.

Isabel began Guildford Club 61 years ago and was the head teacher for over 55 years. She produced many champions but found teams to be the most rewarding of all. For many years Guildford consistently competed in championship grade and we are thrilled to have been selected for the grade in 2017. We dedicate the 2017 team year to Isabel and know she will be shining down upon us.

Isabel is fondly remembered for her dark rimmed glasses, whistle blowing when she ran Parramatta Zone and the care and interest she showed in each girl she taught.

She was more than a physie teacher and instilled the same qualities in many of the teachers that are at Guildford-Greystanes today. Isabel certainly continues to influence many of us today.

She is greatly missed but always remembered.
